Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly is the sequel to the much-loved Coffee Talk and it’s lived up to its predecessor. It introduces charming and intriguing new characters as well as bringing back old favourites. The stories range from sweet to dramatic, pulling you in as a player. Add to this the relaxing lo-fi background beats, and you have the ultimate chill game. I’m not usually attracted to visual novels, but I can make an exception when they’re about coffee.
But aside from progressing the storyline itself, you have a very important job as a gamer. You’re the barista! So that means making and discovering plenty of drinks. As you play through the game, you’ll add more drinks to your Brewpad. This is your trusty notepad that tracks the recipes you know how to make. The sequel brings back all the drinks from the first game (except Honey Milk, weirdly) as well as adding several new ones. So, to help you fill it out, here’s my Coffee Talk 2 drinks guide!

All New Drinks
Technically there’s a huge number of possibilities when it comes to mixing drinks. However, thankfully, not all of them are required in order to fill your Brewpad. Instead, you need to focus on a much smaller number of specialty drinks. When you create them for the first time, they will be unlocked in your Brewpad, and you’ll be able to check the recipe if you wish to make it again in the future. You will need to unlock all the drinks in the Brewpad to earn certain achievements/ trophies.
An important thing to note with the specialty drinks is that the order of ingredients is important. For example, Cough Syrup is Green Tea, Lemon, and Honey. But if you were to switch the order, it would just become Honey Lemon Green Tea, a totally different drink. So make sure you’re putting the ingredients in the order listed in this guide.
Final thing to note, this guide is specifically for Coffee Talk 2, and only lists the new drinks added for the sequel. If you want to check the recipes that were introduced in the first game, you can do so here. You’ll be able to see if any drinks are missing as they’ll show as ‘Undiscovered’ in their respective sections of the Brewpad.
