Happy February! As always, a new month means a new giveaway. This month, I’m giving you guys the chance to win a copy of the fabulous Mushroom Wars 2. I reviewed this last week, and really enjoyed it. It’s an excellent example of the real-time strategy genre, and one that I think many of you would really enjoy. I usually do Steam giveaways, but this month I wanted to give a chance to the Xbox players. So for this particular giveaway, I’ll be offering an Xbox One code (also playable on Series X/S). Don’t worry if you don’t have that console, though, each month is a new giveaway, and so I’m sure there’ll be something for you in March instead. Mushroom Wars 2 Giveaway
So, what exactly is Mushroom Wars 2? It’s an interesting take on your typical RTS, and feels a bit like a tower defence game. However, you’re not only defending against enemy hordes, but you’re sending your own army to capture territories. There are plenty of clever tactics at play, and mastering the best strategies is a true skill. You can construct multiple types of buildings, each one serving a different purpose. Grow your army, expand your territory, and show the enemy who’s boss!
As well as having exciting gameplay, Mushroom Wars 2 is lovely to look at. The designs are based around mushrooms and this results in plenty of cuteness. The graphics during rounds are clear without excess detail, so it’s easy to watch the action unfold. The cutscenes have a beautiful watercolour effect to them, and you should see the gorgeous detail on the hero designs. I’m really impressed with what the developers have created here. Even the UI is easy to navigate and fits the theme of the game.
The game features a campaign as well as a multiplayer mode, so whether you’d prefer to play by yourself against the CPU, or to face off against other players worldwide, you’re covered. You can even play against your friends in custom game modes. Overall, Mushroom Wars 2 is a really fun game to win a copy of.
