Happy New Year! I hope 2022 is an exceptional year for all of you, and that you’re able to accomplish everything you wish to. I have many exciting plans for Screen Hype in the months to follow, including giveaways, interviews, and more. But to kick it off, I’m doing a new giveaway for the month of January. The aim is to have a main giveaway every month, with other smaller giveaways occurring in our Facebook group. I’d love to see the Screen Hype community grow even larger this year.
Before We Leave
For the first giveaway of the year, I’ve chosen Team 17’s strategy game, Before We Leave. I recently reviewed this, and thought it had some excellent gameplay mechanics to it that I’m sure people will enjoy. The game allows you to build your own civilisation by populating islands and planets, and researching newer and greater technologies. Construct buildings, facilitate seafaring, and even launch rockets! There are so many complex elements to this strategy game, and it’s great for newbies and veterans of the genre alike.
This is a relatively relaxed game, with no violent components to it. There are no enemies trying to kill you or steal your land, instead it’s simply you versus the elements. You need to make sure that your peeps are well-fed, clothed, and have rooves over their head. If managing a civilisation sounds like your kind of game, then this is the giveaway for you!
How to Enter
So! To be in with a chance of winning, you just need to follow these simple steps. You get one entry for each step that you take part in, so you don’t need to do all five!
1. Head over to our Twitter account, and check out the below tweet. You’ll need to like and retweet it, as well as making sure you’re following the account.
2. Tag a friend in the comments of the above tweet, you’ll get an extra entry if they choose to follow us.
3. Follow our Instagram account, then like and comment on this post.
4. Join our community on Facebook, and comment on the giveaway post (it’s an announcement so will be at the top of the page). As well as gaining an entry for the Before We Leave giveaway, you’ll have the opportunity to enter other exclusive giveaways that are only available in our Facebook group.
5. Invite a friend to our Facebook group, and have them comment on the giveaway post, saying that you invited them. You can earn up to 5 entries using this method, one per person you invite.
