Every director dreams of their film being a huge success. They want everyone to love it, casual movie-goers and experts alike, and they put their all into it. Unfortunately, not every film can be received the way the people involved would want it to be. And whilst some films are released to international acclaim, others fall just short, or miss the mark entirely. And there, waiting to capitalise on those moments, are the film critics. Rotten Tomatoes is generally considered the go-to place to check what the general consensus of a movie was. So, success or mess? This quiz is about guessing how a movie fared on Rotten Tomatoes, specifically movies starting with P.

The Rules
Now, bear in mind that this is based on the overall percentage from the critics. User scores are irrelevant to this quiz, so try to think from the perspective of an expert. The classification for success or mess is:
Over 75 = Success
74 or under = Mess
So, with the rules out of the way, I wish you the best of luck! No cheating!
Results

#1. Pocahontas (1995)

#2. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)

#3. Paddington 2 (2017)

#4. Pacific Rim (2013)
Hey, I agree with you. Pacific Rim is a beauty of a film, but unfortunately the critics clearly lack taste in this regard, and only gave it a 72. Still, if you were going to get a question wrong, at least you did so by being so right.

#5. Peter Rabbit (2018)

#6. Planet of the Apes (1968)

#7. Predator (1987)
Ah, the movie that spawned the embarrassingly unsuccessful ‘Alien Vs Predator’. I don’t blame you for classing this a mess by association.

#8. Pokémon: The First Movie (1999)
This is quite probably the biggest travesty known to man. The overall critic rating for this masterpiece of a movie was only 16%! It’s an outrage!

#9. Pixels (2015)
If you’re seeing this, it means you got the answer wrong. Which means you thought Pixels was a success. Honestly, I think it’s time to re-evaluate your life.

#10. Parasite (2019)
Well, how did you do with these movies starting with P? If you scored 7 or more, you can hold your head up high as a true movie connoisseur. But if you scored less, then you know what? You should hold your head up high too. Movies are subjective, and you may love a movie that other people think is terrible, or hate a movie that other people endlessly praise. You do you! Share this quiz with your friends to see how their score compares to yours. Maybe it’s time to organise a movie night, perhaps even with one of the films in this quiz?
